Hah! Me, I’m a smart one! I pulled them off and mutilated them! Since they are not cheap to begin with, my Humans decided not to spend anymore of their hard-earned $$$$$$ on these stupid contraptions. One up for me :-)

Well…not really. Now I walk with my paws unprotected. Mama normally rinses off all the grime and  residues with warm water when we reach home. When it’s really bad, she would use doggie soap or shampoo too. It sure feels darn good once my paws are clean.

But….WAIT! Too much cleaning can also be a problem. My paws feel dry and hard. Sometimes they even feel uncomfortable and sting. Ouch!

So, here comes the creams. Mama would apply moisturizing creams on my delicate paws to soften them. I have a wide range of these, ranging from doggie ones (YUKKY!) to human handcreams which Mama uses for herself. They are D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

Yep, I cant resist it. They smell and taste so good, I HAVE to lick them.

The doggie ones not only smell or taste awful…they are gooey, slimy and really uncomfortable to have on the paws. I’m suppose to apply them before I go out. Tried them a few times — all they do is leave awful stains on the floor and all the gunk sticks on them anyway, making it extra difficult for me to even walk.

Cant win, can I?

Cant wait for 20 March to arrive. Isnt that suppose to be the first day of Spring?

Aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!! I forgot my own anniversary! It’s 10 days overdue — my Blog turned one on 8 March 2013.

It has been more than a year since my very first Blog. I first started blogging on another website so if you missed my earlier postings, do go to my archives to read them here.

I have been fascinated with the computer since I was a young Pup. Even dreamt of one day becoming a real journalist. I wonder if publications would hire me?


The first time I ever saw a PC was when I hopped onto Mama’s lap while she was web-surfing. She had told me about all the wonderful things you can learn from that box and showed some stuff to me which I would never, ever have seen if I stayed on ground-level.

Soon I would ask to hop onto my Humans’ laps whenever they are at the desk. One day, after seeing loads of stuff put up by Humans I thought to myself, why not do something too? That’s when I conferred with Mama and we decided to launch my Blog together. I’m so glad I did. Now the Humans can really learn about how we, the unspoken ones, really see the world.

Well, after a year of experiences and blogging, age is taking a toll on me. I need to wear glasses now when I’m working. They say dogs get 7 times older than in human years…sigh!

I would really like to share more with all of you. So continue to check in and I’m sure you wont be disappointed.

P.S. Pls excuse me but it’s time I have to go do what needs to be done (ahem!).

Here I am sitting on my favorite swing again, listening to the sounds of chirping birds with the slightly chilly breeze brushing past me occassionally. The sun is shining bright and plays peek-a-boo with me as the wind sometimes blows the feathery clouds across its face.

This is my sacred space…my little corner of the house where I can reflect on things that have happened. Today I’m in a dilemma.

Yesterday Mama helped to take care of Emma, the huge Labby from the neighbor’s family. Would you believe…Mama left me all alone at home while she enjoyed a long, lovey-dovey walk with Emma, without me?!!! To add insult to injury, she brought Emma home and fed her my precious delicacies. What makes it even worse is that Emma seems to love Mama too and I’m totally disgusted at the way she slurppppssss Mama to show her affection. GGGGggggrrrrrr!!!

As you can see, I wasnt too friendly when Emma came.

Well, I soon forgave Mama after my morning walk and delicious breakfast of beef & liver plus a few strips of chicken treats and thought everything would be back to normal.

Half an hour later she told me she was going out with Emma again. I was devastated. :-(

Now here I am sitting on my swing and I just heard Emma crying. Mama explained to me that Emma’s Humans were all busy preparing to move house and they asked her to help walk Emma for a few days. No one was at home and Emma has to be put into a doggy-box when she’s at home.

Gee, I feel pretty rotten now. The last time I was kept in a doggy box was for a short airplane trip of about 5 hours. Emma is kept in that doggy box for hours and hours everyday. I would so hate that. I just heard Emma’s family will be moving out this weekend. Sigh…….

Maybe I should let her spend time at my place after all…or should I? What do you think?

The wind is such a refreshing change to the drips and drops of snow and rain. It brushes through my furry face and leaves a nice layer of cool-warm sensation on my being. It brings with it scents from faraway places, some of creatures coming out from hibernation, others of new buds springing up in the fields. The other day I saw a family of bunny rabbits hopping happily in the fields and a flock of pigeons feasting on the farmers’ seedlings. Ah, yes, the Spring air brings with it lovely scents carried gracefully by the winds.

If only humans would grow their hair to a decent length like us furry types or have feathers like the birds they will have no reason to complain about the winds nor the many layers they have to wear each time they leave home. Silly people, they can learn a thing or two from us furry/feathery creatures. Humans are not always that smart you know. ;-)

Actually, after a nice. brisk walk in the windy fields, one’s appetite definitely improves and my tummy’s rumbling. Gotta go get some grub now.

Since it has been raining sporadically these past few days, I’m kinda stuck in the house most of the time except for the necessary 3 times-a-day very short-trips to please nature.

What can a dog do when left in such a situation? Apart from staring out the window, wishing I were a bird instead of a dog, I spend much of these days drifting in and out of slumber. As I slide into sub-consciousness I recall my walkabouts and how unjust life can be for me as a little guy. Quite often I wince in my sleep as I recall the traumatic moments I faced.

In my dreams I see myself hanging by my harness, legs suspended helplessly.

Little guys get air-lifted very frequently. We have no choice. We are so tiny so it makes it easy for anyone to hold us ransom!

I really dont like having to wear raincoats…but…do I have a choice? Before I can run fast enough to hide, I am strapped into the sack and have to parade in this absolutely ridiculous outfit! People, rain does NOT equal cold,OK?

I’m getting a little lazy nowadays. With the chilly winds blowing outside early in the morning and the comfy warmth from the floor-heating indoors, all I want is to sleep on in my(our) cozy bed.

I choose to wake up either because of the bright sun-rays peering through gaps in the shutters or I have to go as doggies do.

The exact situation comes back to bug me late evening when the temperature turns low again and I’m all settled in front of the TV, snuggled in warm, woolly blankets, tummy full and ready for bed.

Alas, these are ocassions when I need to avoid being coerced into going for my walks. These are no fun walks. Fun walks are good only when I AM READY to go and do so voluntarily…not because I am forced to go.

Now, what can I do? The moment Mama sees my eyes are open, she would make me go out and I really dont enjoy that.

The secret is —- PRETEND!

If I pretend to be fast and deeply asleep, chances are I am spared. Ever heard of ‘Let Sleeping Dogs Lie’? This is truly TRUE. Humans tends to leave you alone when you are asleep just in case your animal instinct takes over and you unwittingly loose your restraint and SNAP…!

Even tiny teeth can be quite painful if you get snapped by them! Our doggy teeth may be small (if you are a small dog) but our jaws are pretty strong…heee….heee…heee!!!

Perhaps it’s time to learn from a dog , i.e. Moi :-). Most times the snap is totally irrelevent anyway. It’s just the thought of the possibility that deters anyone from testing me out!

By the way, I hope you like my fresh Spring look on this page. I figured that boys should have blue pages instead of pink :-)

The Winds

Hey Folks

Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was just so so. That’s because, for some weird reason, my Humans refused to take me for long walks eventhough there is no more snow nor rain! On the contrary, it has been quite sunny and windy.

Wind…that apparently is what all humans seem to complain about nowadays. Somehow, it seems humans cannot be satisfied with anything. They complained to each other about how cold it is and how much it bites them or gives them a headache!

It is so weird. They still dress up as if it is snowing. Thick waterproof coats, scraves, high boots…but on top of the usual, they now wear super-thick gloves and knitted caps as well.

I would be perfectly happy running around just with my harness on my back but Nooooooooo…they have to bundle me up as well. Hey, I’m not complaining about the wind…in fact I love the wind! But, as a little guy, I am fated to be dress according to how the humans feel. Sigh….
