Source(google.com.pk)My little paws are beginning to itch and sometimes even sting. Must be the salt and gravel rubbish.
It’s been one crazy, awful week. First it snows. Then it’s bright sunshine. Snow melts…enters the sludge and mush. Then it snows again. In-between all of that comes the sharp, chilling winds from the north, temperatures drop to minus digits and it starts to freeze up mostly early morning. The salt and gravel makes their reappearance again. Good grief!
C’mon, give me a break! I am a dog and dogs HAVE to go out, not but choice but by necessity.
Doggies dont normally wear shoes or booties. I had two pairs previously but HATED them! They only make it hard for me to feel the ground and on icy, slippery surfaces I slide uncontrollably. It was traumatic. So, how did I get rid of them?
Hah! Me, I’m a smart one! I pulled them off and mutilated them! Since they are not cheap to begin with, my Humans decided not to spend anymore of their hard-earned $$$$$$ on these stupid contraptions. One up for me :-)
Well…not really. Now I walk with my paws unprotected. Mama normally rinses off all the grime and residues with warm water when we reach home. When it’s really bad, she would use doggie soap or shampoo too. It sure feels darn good once my paws are clean.
But….WAIT! Too much cleaning can also be a problem. My paws feel dry and hard. Sometimes they even feel uncomfortable and sting. Ouch!
So, here comes the creams. Mama would apply moisturizing creams on my delicate paws to soften them. I have a wide range of these, ranging from doggie ones (YUKKY!) to human handcreams which Mama uses for herself. They are D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

Yep, I cant resist it. They smell and taste so good, I HAVE to lick them.
The doggie ones not only smell or taste awful…they are gooey, slimy and really uncomfortable to have on the paws. I’m suppose to apply them before I go out. Tried them a few times — all they do is leave awful stains on the floor and all the gunk sticks on them anyway, making it extra difficult for me to even walk.
Cant win, can I?
Cant wait for 20 March to arrive. Isnt that suppose to be the first day of Spring?
